I’m sick of faking a smile I just wish they would notice but no one understands me. The shot begins with an extreme close up on Natalie’s eyes which convey the sadness she is feeling. She is also set apart from her friends visually by the dark clothing she is wearing. It is evident that she no longer fits in with her peers, they are all smiling and laughing together while she sits on the outskirts of the table slightly detached from the group. Scene 2: The main character (Natalie) is joining her girlfriends for a dinner party. The scarcity of this shot conveys a solemn mood.
